Tomorrow Night: Discussing Disability

Join us tomorrow night for the next It’s Not What You Think live speaker event—and refreshments, of course! Our featured speakers, Assistant Professor Holly Allen and Kyle James Wright ’19, will tell the stories of how disabilities changed their lives.

Tuesday, March 7
7:30 p.m.
Axinn Abernethy Room

Holly Allen, Assistant Professor of American Studies, teaches courses on U.S. cultural history and cultural studies, political culture and theories of citizenship, women’s and gender studies, the history of sexuality, and digital history.  Race, ethnicity, nationality, class, and disability are also important categories of analysis in her teaching and research.

Allen received an M.A. and Ph. D. in American Studies from Yale University (1996).  She also holds a B.A. in American Civilization and Afro-American Studies (1988) from Brown University.

Kyle James Wright ’19 is an American Studies major from Denver, Colorado.
