It’s Not What You Think: Inaugural Event

We invite you to join us for the inaugural event in the series—and brunch!—at noon on Sunday, January 24, in Redfield Proctor.

This first event will feature alumnus Brandon Hawkins (Middlebury Class of 2011) and Associate Professor of American Studies Roberto Lint Sagarena (Director of the CCSRE and the Anderson Freeman Resource Center).

Brandon Hawkins, Middlebury College Class of 2011

Brandon Hawkins graduated from Middlebury College in 2011.   He is a Posse Scholar from New York City.  Upon graduation, he worked for Teach for America in the Mississippi Delta Corps, teaching in both Mississippi and Louisiana public schools.  He is currently at the Thurgood Marshall School of Law.

Roberto Lint Sagarena is a faculty member in American Studies.  He also serves as the Director of the Center for the Comparative Study of Race and Ethnicity and the Anderson Freeman Resource Center.

All are welcome to attend this event, but because of space limitations, we ask that you please RSVP to Professor Rachael Joo (rjoo@middlebury.edu) by the end of the day on Thursday.
